I mean I know that they try to get you to buy a time share and all that, but don’t they know that most people go just to get the free trip? So wouldn’t that mean they would lose money? How does that work? It would be a great idea for a vacation lol

When we were in Puerto Vallarta in Dec 2006 we were coerced into a 6 or 7 Hr. sales ordeal at Mayan Palace where we surrendered a $10410 deposit on a $34700 Grand Mayan timeshare. Only after we got back home did we discover how severely we had been lied to. We requested cancellation of the contract and our deposit returned…they refused and are asking for more money. There were two websites….mayanresorts .org and mayanresorts.info …that told the truth about the fraud at Mayan but recently they were taken over by Mayan for their own advertising.Anyone have a problem with Mayan ? and has more ideas about fixing this problem of Mayans illegal sales abuses ? or at least helping spread accurate information about them to warn other travelers ?
… in Playa Del Carmen, MEXICO (as they promised they would do in the sales presentation)?
I have done some research on the internet and I’ve noticed there are a few people who are trying to sell their timeshare through varios websites. This leads me to believe that Sunset Resorts did not live up to their obligation. I have tried to contact these sellers personally, but have not gotten any info. about their re-sale/ sell-back experience with Sunset Resorts. I just purchased a timeshare with this company (Sunset Resorts) just 3 weeks ago, based on the promise that after a year I could sell it back to them if I choose to get out of it. That is why getting an answer to this question is vital in my dealings with this company because as it would seem, something seems “fishy” here.
I just purhcased a package deal for 3 nites and 4 days in Destin,FL and they told me all I have to do is attend the sales presentation (90 minute) and i would get my $199 + $50 back for attending it and I didn’t have to buy. Also do they run credit checks or require proof of income at the timeshare presentation? I have one day to cancel this deal and get my money back so please respond quickly. I also purchased a 2nd vacation pkg to San Antonio for $79
We recently visited Bass Pro Shop in St. Louis and they had an offer for a visit to listen to a time share speech at various vacation destinations around the US. My husband bought one for 50$… of course we get that back if we go and listen to the sales tactics they have. The corporation is Bluegreen Resorts and the Outdoor Traveler. Was wondering if anyone dealt with this company and the results, good/bad, they had withthem. Where did you stay? We were thinking of Branson/Ozarks…Big Cedar Lodge. Looks beautiful. Our second choice is Smokey Mountains/Gatlinburg. Just wanting a reliable opinion…not that we are going to buy into the time share for sure.
